the 200D should consume between 6 and 9 liters of fuel, depending on driving style. The 300D will use about 10-12 liters i think. We have a W124 300D also, non turbo, manual, if not on the autobahn, it's always pedal to the metal (doesn't directly mean it's been driven very hard each time to 4000-5000, no!) shifting at about 3000, and fuel consumtion is about 12 liter/100km.
